The 17-year-old is the second tourist to die taking part in the activity in Spain this year

A 17-year-old Dutch woman was killed on Monday evening after she fell more than 40 meters while bungee jumping from a bridge close to Cabezón de la Sal, a small community in Cantabria, in northern Spain.
The young woman, who has not been named, was part of a tour group led by a guide. The circumstances surrounding the fall are still unclear, except that she fell into a dry riverbed.

Regional emergency services say they received a call shortly before 8.30pm. Firefighters, medics, police and a psychological support team were sent to the location.
This is the second death involving a foreign tourist taking part in bungee jumping in Spain this summer. On June 21, a 23-year-old British woman was killed in Pinos del Valle, in Granada province.
An investigation has revealed that the accident happened when the monitor left the woman to check the ropes supporting her, which were attached to the other side of the bridge. But because of a lack of communication or a misunderstanding, she jumped before the monitor returned. The investigation continues.
