Quentin Blake is coming to the Arc Gallery at Cromwell Place, South Kensington, to present a snapshot of work he has created over the past 12 months.

The exhibition includes a selection of pieces first shown as part of 'INK' at Hastings Contemporary in late 2023, plus new explorations in different formats and mediums from ballpoint pen to the Stabilo Woody watercolour pencil.   The work pictured above comes from his 2023 series, 'Uplifted', celebrating the joys of freedom and enjoying the outdoors.

Quentin's stunning large-scale portraits and imaginary compositions are all in his inimitable style, full of movement, humour and pathos. The exhibition will also exclusively launch his latest book The Art of the Ballpoint - a beautifully crafted, hand-bound, signed, limited edition hardback of fifty exquisitely reproduced portraits.

The exhibition will be free to enter.  During opening hours (Weds-Sat 11am-7pm; Sun 11am-4pm) booking is encouraged but not essential.  All works on show will be available to buy.
