Robin Wright on her co-star Kevin Spacey: 'I did not know the man'

Robin Wright has addressed the allegations of sexual abuse facing her House of Cards co-star Kevin Spacey in a new interview.
Wright, 52, told NBC's Today show that beyond filming she "didn't know" the 58-year-old actor who plays her on-screen husband, despite working closely with him for five seasons of the popular Netflix drama.

Several accusations of sexual misconduct have been levelled at Spacey since October, when Star Trek: Discovery star Anthony Rapp claimed Spacey had attempted to seduce him at a party in the Eighties when Rapp was 14 years old. Spacey apologised for the alleged incident, but said he did not recall what may have been drunken behaviour.
Last week, Scotland Yard confirmed that Spacey was being investigatedby its Child Abuse and Sexual Offences Command officers over allegations raised by six men.
In a clip from the NBC interview, which will be shown in full later today, broadcaster Savannah Guthrie asks Wright, "Was there any kind of red flag, or anything which made you think this was possible?"

“Kevin and I knew each other between action and cut.”

Watch a preview of @SavannahGuthrie’s exclusive conversation with @RealRobinWright about Kevin Spacey and @HouseofCards. Tune in tomorrow for full interview.
Wright replies: "Kevin and I knew each other between action and cut and in between setups, where we would giggle. I didn't really... I didn't know the man. I knew the incredible craftsman that he is."
Spacey was dropped from House of Cards following the allegations, and does not appear in the show's sixth season, which will air this autumn.
